Connect your Telegram group to track engagement
The bot needs admin permissions to reliably read messages and track activity, this also matters for reaction tracking, see below.
Reaction quests only work in supergroups, and only when the bot is an admin. If your group is a regular (non-super) group, convert it to a supergroup first from Telegram's group settings.
Send the command below in your group to get its unique ID:
/groupidThe bot replies with your group ID, which looks like -1001234567890
Now connect your Telegram group to your GuildMetric community:
Track and reward members for sending messages
Automatically sync group members to your community
Points are awarded as activity happens
Reward reactions in supergroups where the bot is admin
/groupidGet the group ID for setup
/linkLink your Telegram account to GuildMetric (DM the bot)
/pointsCheck your current points balance
/leaderboardView the group leaderboard
/missionsSee active quests in the group
/helpList all available commands
Check the bot is still a member of your group and hasn't been removed, and that it's set as an administrator, a regular member can't read group activity reliably.
Send /missions in the group to see what's active and whether you've already completed it. Check the quest's parameters, a keyword quest only counts exact matches unless case sensitivity is off.
Reaction quests only work in supergroups with the bot set as admin. Regular basic groups don't send reaction updates to bots at all, convert the group to a supergroup from Telegram's settings first.
